Thank you for giving me, Jim and my son the privilege of cooking and dining in your family's home at beautiful Polizzi. It's the ultimate honor to be invited into a stranger's home, and I cannot express enough how touched I am by the gracious and generous spirit of your mother and father. They are icons for the Sicilian people! The “specialness” you shared at the trip's end, after Jim's arrival, was meaningful and memorable to us all. You and Silvano are the ultimate Sicilian team! I must say that the entire trip exceeded our expectations, thanks, in part, to yours and Silvano's passion for Sicily. It's infectious, to say the least. I've come away with far more than a visit to a country. Sicily . . . the antiquity, its mysteries, its cuisine, the bounty of its land and sea. I returned to Iowa forever a Sicilian in my heart.
