Regional gastronomy is fundamentally linked to two factors: its geographical shape and its historical affairs. In the case of Puglia , the flatness of the region and its extensive coastline has led the inhabitants to animal breeding , fishing , wheat, grape and vegetable cultivation , as well as to plant fruit and olive trees.

Obviously the gastronomic culture that has emerged is based on those products . Given the huge quantity of wheat produced , Apulian cookery has always been based on flour, especially on pasta and bread , the latter is certainly the most consumed food.

Last , but not least , an important element of Apulian food is the “sweets” , above all connected with religious occasion .

Don't forget the wines: the outstanding Castel del Monte Doc, the Trani Doc Muscat and so on…

To complete the extraordinary range of good food and drink is the traditional hospitality of the people of this magnificent land

Day 1

Arriving in Bari airport. Pick up car or meet our driver guide. Transfer in a charming hotel in Conversano. Dinner in a selected restaurant.
Day 2
Departure for Castel del monte . Visit a famous winery . Lunch in a typical “trattoria” winner of the prize “ la Puglia è servita”. Come back in hotel
Day 3
Excursion in Castellana Grotte . Lunch in a pleasant country house . Stop in “salumificio” . Dinner in a typical “Apulian Masseria” . Overnight in a splendid masseria
Day 4
Visit an olive oil Frantoio . Visit a Botanical Garden . Lunch in a masseria . Transfer to Otranto and overnight in a marvellous “masseria”
Day 5
An excursion in Galatina and a visit to a winery . Travel to Lecce for a typical lunch in a “trattoria”. Check in a our hotel. Free time to wonder the city.
Day 6
Departure for Manduria . Stop in a famous winery . Light Lunch in a “frantoio”. Overnight in Latiano
Day 7
Travel to Bernalda with a stop in Taranto to visit the city. Overnight in a farm house.

Departure and end of the tour
